Or that he was told he could send the internal modem back and go buy an exterior one to free up the slot. He said "it sure is funny how they know so much after they get your money!" I really don't like the sound of all this. I think you (the phantom <g>) should have the software if that (the software) is what has been shipping with modems off the shelf. I bet if you contacted COMS they would blame DELL, what a bunch of crap. Just GIVE me the software dammit! How many slots (16 bit ISA) did your machine come with? Derek
