The Omni-3wx augments the 5-slot and 9-slot OmniSwitch chassis versions, accepts all OmniSwitch modules, and offers the OmniSwitch feature set for smaller applications. ASCEND Communications has opened a new office in Beijing which will be its headquarters in China providing sales, marketing, technical support and training for China. This office combines sales and support staff from Ascend and Cascade Communications. COMPUTER Associates has shipped CA-Fix/2000, a new component to CA Discovery 2000. CA-Fix/2000 eliminates the tedious, error- prone task of manually finding and correcting data fields in computer programs, simplifying the remediation process and eliminating potential sources of error and unnecessary program modification. RADCOM has announced it has secured a major PTT tender in China. The tender was offered by a regional operator in one of the northern territories in China.
