LAVA First Document Management Provider Certified
on both WorldSoftware and OneWorld

TORONTO, Feb. 2 /CNW/ - J.D. Edwards(R) (NASDAQ: JDEC) and LAVA Systems Inc. (TSE: LVA) today announced they have extended their product alliance agreement to add LAVA Systems' document management solutions to J.D. Edwards WorldSoftware(TM). With the technological capabilities and functionality of LAVA's product set, specifically the LAVA Enabler(TM), LAVA can now offer companies and organizations with J.D. Edwards WorldSoftware, complete document management, imaging, workflow and COLD (Computer Output to Laser Disk) integration with their line-of-business application.

''By offering LAVA's capabilities to the more than 4,000 WorldSoftware
customers, we confirm our commitment to producing first-class information management technology,'' said Lori Nave, vice-president of corporate marketing with LAVA Systems. ''Now LAVA can add easy-to-use custom interface information management solutions to OS/400 as well as the existing UNIX and Windows NT platforms of J.D. Edwards.''
