<<<So, Paul simply chose the best care he could get. He paid for it.

What’s wrong with that?>>>

I pay for Canadian healthcare too,, about a thousand bucks a year maximum , at tax time,, sliding scale

according to income.

Nice that Ralph Nader and Malcolm Gladwell approve,, but maybe ask a taxi driver if they approve.

A Canadian taxi drivers account...;+)

“”Hhhhmmm, let’s see.

When I was a child , about six I was treated for mumps.

measles, chicken pox, whooping cough and scarlet fever

by Dr Davidson and Dr King. In those days they would come

to our rented shack. White Anglo Saxon ‘s for sure.

Here I am.

About 14 years ago I had major surgery, performed by an

Egyptian who just happen to bring his skills to Canada.

Here I am.

About ten years ago I had emergency surgery at 3 in the

morning ,, for an infected tonsil,, I was near deaths door.

That was performed by a Syrian.

And here I am.

Recently my wife was treated in emergency by two excellent

emergency Doc’s one Italian one Chinese

There she is.

While we were there ,,there were 2 indigenous people

being treated within earshot, and they were treated by

Doctors and nurses with caring and respect.

I am not sure on the heritage of our family Doc

as it does not matter as he has been a lifesaver for us over

the years.

Doctors in Canada do not want to move south of the border
and have to contend with lawsuits, insurance companies
and the extremely high cost of malpractice insurance.

I haven’t experienced any Pakistani or Cuban doctors yet

but I am sure they are just as qualified as the doctors in the

anecdotes above.”””
