Below my take based on what I sense and I see:
(1) We had a virus that essentially was a hard flu, allowed to spread and evolve by official policies across the entire planet, by way of lack of physical countermeasures as simple as any warranted for the flu, and through media spins to discredit the science, misrepresent the facts, and eventually and toxically facilitated by real-world gain-functions.
(2) Vaccine nationalism (i.e. EU / USA) made everything worse.
Anti-Vaccine cretinism (i.e. Brazil) did not help.
Asleep-at-the-switch-ism (i.e. India).
Moronic C19 triumphalism (i.e. Singapore / Taiwan) brought up the rear.
(3) Mathematically, and arguably, China did not allow the virus to spread beyond fail-safe point, did not deal-in economic shut-down, found mass vaccination-in-a-hurry unnecessary, exported tons of vaccines now proving to be efficacious and with danger of LT side effect.

(4) Should be very interesting, the Biden Team findings in 90-days re origins.
Should China be charged, the next natural question of course follows, "what is the Team Biden going to do about it?"
Should China be not-charge, the story goes on to 2024.
Should the spin be indeterminate, another 90-days?
(5) No matter what, the Biden presidency crippled, for one or another reason, either domestic and / or foreign factors, as would Team Biden's true enemies want; my guess.
Same again, no matter who wins, 2024.
For the origins meme is less about the CCP and much more about GOP / DNC, a guess.
(6) In the meantime whether by TikTok / eCNY or commodities inflation and belt & road, the next phase comes into view, 2026 / 2032, and towards 36% of global GDP.
Existential to USA? Hardly, for the USA is also a continental economy and resilient.
China is not existential to USA. USA is existential to USA.
Until and unless the folks in USA realise so, trend shall continue.
Disunity is fatal, even as unity against China makes no difference, because China is not the existential threat. Next door neighbours are.
