Our solar system is on the outskirts of the Milky Way with few neighbors.

And don't believe in faster than light travel -- Einstein Relativity.

As for wormholes if they exist, successful travel by an organism would be doubtful.

So I don't expect a lot of neighbors dropping in. :)
