I am relatively certain that the investment climate in Kazakhstan favors those who can invest large capital sums, but unfortunately GDB will never amount to more than a sand pile. Well what happens to GDB this remains to be seen, but I would think that the odds are against them. Mind you, if you see an agreement worked out with the government, things would be a lot different. I recall that one of the majors (was it placer?) got jerked around by the Khazakhs last year (?) so I don't think the problem is strictly limited to the smaller copmanies. Regards, John
