blame hackers for the high gas prices
The hackers affected the East Coast, not the West Coast.

I'm seeing gas prices around here well above $4.50/gallon.
get an electric car and you won't have to worry about gas prices
How are you going to charge that car? With the sun alone?

It's reasonable to assume that natural gas prices, which is the largest source of electricity in America, are also sky high.
