it was alleged rape and they wanted to lynch the guy before trial.....it was stated he tripped and bumped into the female elevator operator who screamed....in 1921 that was enough to get lynched for. Also this was a very prosperous part of tulsa and it was an opportunity to steal from them and put them put of business.....and we wonder why black people are angry and don't trust whitey.....all they ever got was screwed over
