I think what he meant is that when Intel drops their prices and they're shipping 20.5 million CPUs (according to Paul Engel) and AMD drops their prices an equal amount and is only shipping 2 million CPUs, the net effect is magnified on Intel. At their volumes, they stand to lose more profit. If they were to just maintain their normal learning curve pricing, not only would they make more money, their stock would go up. They shouldn't be concerned with AMD with only $2.5B in sales vs. Intel with $24B in sales. It doesn't make sense.
