Clinton worked with Gingrich and together they did a good job of managing the economy. But Clinton had an outsized role in creating the crisis in 2008. Bigger than anyone's. (Obama made it worse, and he precipitated the crisis just because people were fearful of what his election would be economically).
The reason I prefer to avoid economic issues is that it is one where there can never be agreement. Ever. The top economists in the land cannot agree on the fundamental issues. So, do you think you and I could find common ground?
I can only say that Trump made changes that the Left and the Media predicted would fail, and they resulted in a rapid and forceful decline in unemployment into the range of 3.5% after Obama policy had stagnated in the range of 4.6-4.7.
If you understand about the dynamics of unemployment at this level, it is a pretty radical thing to push the rate into the low fours and even the threes. These are not linear functions where it takes the same amount of work to get a 1 point drop whether you're at 7% or 4%. It is vastly harder to get the last point than the first one.
The other point which is important, is that you posted "Trump's GDP" as though it were comparable to "Obama's GDP". That is really an absurd comparison, given that for the first time in our history we literally shut our economy down -- first for weeks, then for months. Of course, GDP will suffer. Trump did that on the advice from the man you and other leftists continue to praise today, Fauci.
So, this comparison makes no sense, what we normally refer to as "apples and oranges". Comparing economies is fine, but you really cannot possibly think that as a metric for performing the performance of two economies the consequences of having shut down the economy on the advice of allegedly competent medical professionals is damnable.
This was an abuse of any comparison operation designed to mislead, and I really chose not to participate for that reason.
