Today's action was ugly. On very little volume as well. So much for the support at $11. The stock is getting very close to violating a multi-year uptrend. I was tempted to sell first thing this morning, but resisted this purely technical urge. The fundamentals (at least trailing) are just too good. The question is, how much of a negative comparision is factored into the current price? Does anyone care to share their expectations for Q4? At least we can get a yardstick since there are no published estimates for Q4 that I am aware of. Management's pre-release stating that 1997 results would exceed '96 wasn't very enlightening since we have already done that in the first 9 mos. Doesn't sound like a blow out Q4 with remarks like that, but then again, remember this is ALR. At the current shareprice I'd be happy if they did $0.50. I highly doubt they'll beat last year's number. If they do this baby will fly. Greg
