HVN, CBOE, who lists and maintains the SPX, has an automated email notification service. One of the specific email lists is for index component updates. I haven't used the service so am unaware of the timeliness, although the CBOE has always been extraordinarily helpful and their site is one of the most informative of the exchanges.
