Aaron,

I'm not an expert on this, but stick with me and maybe you'll get the gist of my question. Is it not uncommon when a drug is finally approved for one use by the FDA, that physicians typically use the new drug in other somewhat related applications in hopes that it works there too? Anyway, you're talking about the use of Synvisc at the time of surgery and I don't recall that use as typical of the use the drug was approved for. So my next question is, are the uses of Synvisc that you are reporting on, the same use the FDA approved the drug for?

Please don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled about your assisting us in following the progress (or lack of progress) of Synvisc. Your reports to this thread are invaluable. But for the sake of us on the thread that are not 100% familiar with what the FDA approved this drug (?) for, could you or someone else explain whether the treatments you are telling us about, typical approved uses of the drug?

Thanks again for your help.

Respectfully,

James Barnes
