Watch it, we could start a trend. How would you like to read such a phone book, or dictionary<GG>
I did not know they charged a fee, I guess they must get their money back somehow. I understand they are around 400KBS when flat out. So to get IE4 would cost $50 in prime time. I will be getting a wave modem in july. $40 per month and I will give up ny extra phone line. A friend of mine has it in San Diego and it works line a network server, he has 5 computers at home on a 10base Tee network on it, each with their own e-mail address. Him, wifee, and 3 kids each have an address.Locally cached pages flash into being, far away you are baudbound to what the pipe is at the far end, but in general he finds it far better that the telco line. The cable people have fiber all over and many ties here and there, so they are winning in this battle.
I have heard that ADSL will work well, but it never seems to get going anywhere.
