STOCK INVESTOR TRADING, DAILY REPORT, tm

DAILY COMMENTARY
David A. Barney

What a market! Here we are on the brink of war with a president
that is surrounded by scandal and stocks are soaring. There are
no technical signs that this market is headed lower, in fact the
Dow should make new highs within days. Every trader I have spoken
with over the last few days is just amazed at how strong the
market has been in the face of such adversity. Virtually all of
them have the same answer when asked about stock prices in the
short term, "shut up and buy"!

OK, for those of you always getting after me to select a small
stock, here you go. I have been tracking this one for many months
and waiting for some Volume to come back to it before buying. The
Volume has begun to surge over the last few days and the stock
has broken out above the upper Bollinger band. Keep in mind this
is a very thin stock and that you can get trapped into a position
if you are not careful, but I suspect there is something going on
with this stock, based on the momentum indicators and Volume
pattern. It is typical for Volume to surge and prices to rise in
anticipation of some positive news. Keep in mind this is like
reading palms and there is no guarantee anything will happen. It
is a speculative trade based on a chart pattern that suggests
that something may be going on with the company. Enter at your
own risk, but look it over, because the pattern is very strong. I
would build a position slowly over the next few days and be on
the lookout for some news. Why news? Volume that's why? Here is a
stock that has done nothing for months and now it's coming to
life with no news on heavy Volume, makes me wonder what's up?
