It seems like I have spent whole life living in a world dictated by rules that were put in place by "lazy", well meaning, officials that didn't want to to take the time to police a few trouble making individuals so instead they made broad, sweeping, freedom restricting, changes that impact the population as a whole. And in essence treating us like sheep or children instead of people. And the excuse is always the same..."We didn't want to, but we had to take away your freedom because, look, this guy over here was out of control and ruined it for everyone. And so see, this new rule is for your own good and the good of society."
