It had better be a BIG noise in AMD's accounting office.

If not, things could get a heckuva lot worse for AMD.

$30 million is about 30 engineers that could have been hired. Maybe one of them could have solved AMD's yield problems.

$30 million is about the cost of 7 or 8 wafer steppers to improve yields and productivity and capacity. Perhaps these machines could have prevented AMD from having to shaft their own customer, CyberMax.
