As you alluded to yesterday, federal workers need holidays to be able to float a bit.....can't have them falling on weekends because government workers absolutely have to have their holidays as off-work time.....and assigning on Monday or Friday gives you a three-day weekend <g> There is no consideration of what/who the holiday actually is meant to commemorate......
