That's Interesting ... I changed Home Depots that I work at.. I cross the Ontario Quebec border for work.. Longer commute than I had in GTA (Greater Toronto Area) but not bad as I work nights and go opposite normal traffic.. so 35 minutes...

Anyway Home Depot I was at in GTA was like that... Where I am now.. not so much... Store manager (top of the heap at store) is very hands on in a good way... not micro managing but spots good employees at all levels and forms a connection... builds a rapport .. (a great skill) will for example go to me directly (and a few others) with a request after telling my immediate boss.. There are always assholes... but when I look up I see lots of blue sky too :) A place where (I was self employed most of my adult working life) entrepreneurial skills give you autonomy and variety of work... Works great... immediate managers appreciate me as at 65 they realise I just want to do a good job... takes a load off them I have no career aspirations at my age LOL I am here to keep my mind and body sharp :)

It's a great cartoon though .. I am going to post it on Tomato's humour thread :) credit you :)
