Why are car companies investing hundreds of $billions in electric cars? Are customers clambering for them? I don't think so. My guess is the world governments are quietly informing them that ICE cars will soon be outlawed. So if they want to stay in the business they better make the switch. Back in 2009 - 2011, I took some grief because the parent company said we didn't have enough "diversity" in my division. Since I did all the entry level hiring for the division, someone blamed me. Turned out to be false as the majority of our hires were female and non-white was ~33%. However as the tirade proceeded, it came to light that we have federal contracts and that the contracts stipulate "diversity". I highly suspect that IF we have a contract with the government, it stipulates a LOT of things. Since we have so many liberal retards in the government, my guess is that a lot of the woke crap we are hearing are the result of the contracts and "moral suasion" to comply. How many cars does the government buy? How many cases of coke, how many jets, planes and financial dealings? Why are the companies jumping on CRT? School boards? Do you want some federal funding? I kind of doubt though that the government is whispering into the ear of Blackrock, more like the other way around. The other way they go after them is fines and or extorting "contributions". If you don't contribute enough, you get endless investigations.
