And here's another separate thought.
We are moving into this two story rental home. Our previous rental in Hawaii had ceiling mounted speakers connected to a receiver on the floor level. I was able to put a bluetooth input into the receiver, connect my cell phone to the receiver, and then control music playing through the ceiling mounted speakers via my cell phone.

I'm interested to put something similar in the rental home, as follows.

It would be great if the ceiling mounted speakers (lets say there are four of them) could be controlled such that speaker 1 and 2 might be on, speaker 3 and 4 might be off. This selection (which speakers play and which are silent) could be controlled via a cell phone.

It would be great if the music selection (my mp3 files and playlists) were stored in a network attached storage device connected to the bluetooth or wifi connected, so the files don't need to reside on my phone. I'd like my phone to see the playlists, but it's better if the actual music files are on the network so that other members of the family can select and play music without having to use my phone. They could access the music files with their phone.

I plan to ask Best Buy how to set this up (and if they have any ability to do a sound test in the home to buy the most appropriate speakers, and also determine best placement.

If anyone has experience with this type of thing I'd love to hear suggestions or ideas. Thanks!
