It was last February when the Vertel/Microsoft collaboration was announced. I bet we'll hear some interesting things about their progress over the last year. It might be a good idea to reread some of those releases. For example, the 2/13/97 article discusses TMN as a component linking network data with Microsoft Office tools so they can be used for Service Management Layer and Business Management Layer tasks. Do you suppose they have something ready to show off?
