| | | But to dump this shit on kids is child abuse.
My point continues to be that they are not teaching kids CRT as you have asserted. CRT is way above kids' comprehension level. It's apparently way above your level. I, personally, haven't tried beyond a grasp of the concept. Not worth the work relative to other priorities. My agenda here has been to make you realize how ridiculous your assertion is. Without success, I might add.
Since you tend not to read the articles that you post to support your points, you probably didn't notice this bit from your first link:
Yes, woke K-12 curricula grounded in neo-Marxist Critical Race Theory are on the march through America’s schools. As forceful and dramatic as that piece is, it is not claiming that CRT is being taught, only some wokish stuff that derives from CRT. Not the same thing.
You're obviously het up about something even if you have misidentified it. Having ruled out the teaching of CRT since it's not happening, I have been curious to see if I can put my finger on just what it is that you oppose. This is difficult since you don't differentiate and you don't categorize, two key elements of thinking critically and analyzing and synthesizing one's thoughts into a coherent position. That's work when one does it for oneself. It's a tough thing to do that kind of analysis for another person when he just keeps repeating his slogan and is unresponsive to questions to draw him out.
you cannot possibly think it is a good idea to teach this shit
Which shit it that? That's what I'm now trying to figure out because you're giving me little to work with. To have an opinion on something, I need to have identified that something. "Teaching CRT" is simply not it because it's not happening and "this shit" is not sufficiently clarifying.
I imagine that I would approve of some of "this shit" and disapprove of other of it.The first article takes exception to "Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards," which claims to be about: Ensuring all students are supported by highly prepared and effective teachers and school leaders, which includes providing students with opportunities to learn from educators who are aware and respectful of various cultures and can successfully reach all children. Now, that seems to me to be something that should be happening. Third graders creating "identity maps," also mentioned in the article, not so much.
if you don't have idiot teachers telling them they are being mistreated by other colors
Do you really think that the kids on the receiving end of the mistreatment would not know that but for teachers informing them? That's a rhetorical question. |
