Recall I like guns and butter.. .. one can defend land.. and steal gold :) or take gold as payment for food... land has little value to those who cannot make it produce... The British taking over Acadia did not understand the wonder of Acadian irrigation and upon taking over land let it fall into obsolescence... to their great loss.. It is a tricky subject :) I did say that I see the value in gold in that scenario ... in my defense :) but gold alone can be easily stolen... metaphor... Indira was killed by who :) their is a blend that takes value from both positions I think...
