44% of Republicans Don’t Think Trump Was Actually Vaccinated

The vaccinations to combat the COVID-19 pandemic were developed during Donald Trump’s presidency. And the former President would very much like to get credit for that.

Trump, however, has basically refused to urge his supporters to get inoculated. This is despite the fact that the biggest group of people unwilling to get vaccinated are white male Trump Supporters.

The former President did receive the vaccine prior to leaving office. While many public figures received their shots in public Trump refused to do so. In fact, word that he got inoculated wasn’t even made public until weeks afterwards.

And thanks to Trump’s reticence, many of his followers are unsure that he actually took the shot. A recent survey showed that 44% of Republicans don’t think that Trump was vaccinated.

The YouGov poll simply asked, “Do you believe that Donald Trump has been vaccinated for COVID-19?”

According to the findings, “A full 44 percent of GOP voters say they either aren’t sure or do not believe that Trump was actually vaccinated.”

These findings track with other polls that show Republicans and less likely to get the shot. In fact, all the states lagging behind in vaccination rates are traditionally Republican leaning.
