well dumbo the hospitals were were at capacity and people were in the parking lots so a nursing home that had the capabilities were instructed to keep them there.
Yes, I get the reasoning, which at the time seemed sound, but in hindsight was a huge mistake.

By the way, there was no nursing home that "had the capabilities." What, you want to tell me that most nursing homes have hospital-grade ICUs? Bulls--t.
