The other option is global cooling with CME events.

Zarkova has the Earth cooling in a Maunder minium type event extended probably over decades. She did some good work accurately predicting the Sun cycles back in 2015. She runs that project on a shoe string. History has "shoe string" projects making the most frequent, and biggest contributions to scientific discovery. Basically my understanding is you only get funding for your project if you conclude that the Climate is warming up ?

As we know, the suns activity has been decreasing and the "termination event" is normal as all the magnetic fields reverse in approximately 11 and 22 years cycles but with beat osscilations. . Zarkovas models, reflect the magnetic zones accurately and they are tantalizing suggestive that the major planets (Jupitor, Saturn, Uranus) control the activity of the these magnetic zones, but Zharkova does not suggest that.

What is very true, and maybe why "scientists" are pumping up "a termination event" in the press, a perfectly normal event, is that Silicon Chip transistor gate lengths have shrunk over the years.



Now big solar flares do occur. Example in the " Carrington Event - Wikipedia" in 1859 the EM storm was so intense big thick telegraph cables got fried with excessive induced currents.

We can expect a lot of silicon chips with modern chip densities to possibly go down even with a very moderate and normal flare. The result could be bad, and a lot of satellites will be turned into space junk instantly.

That could be a problem.
