I doubt it's a "smart TV". Any suggestions for a fudge I can add that will allow me to stream You Tube TV into such an old model? It's not a smart TV and there are good reasons not to have one anyway. If I could get a nice 4K TV that wasn't a smart TV, I would do it.
Many people love the Roku, but I heard Roku and Google are fighting right now, so no YouTube on the Roku for the time being. Roku is one of the most popular streaming devices out there, but no YouTube. It's ridiculous.
I'm partial to the Apple TV, but many don't like it due to the higher cost. It's very customizable, has a nice feature set, but I'm somewhat biased.
Smart TVs have a built-in apps, like YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc.
The connector you want on the TV is HDMI, that handles most everything these days, and it appears that TV has two HDMI inputs.
Most all other connectors HD TVs have –– RCA, component, composite, coax, etc. –– are for connecting older electronics like stereo receiver, video games, VCRs, DVRs, antennas, and more.
HDMI is the go-to connector these days and all modern electronic devices you'd connect to a TV will use them. |
