Speaking of deer, earlier this evening (well, it's 3:55 a.m. so I suppose it was last evening but since I'm still up it's still today for me). But I digress. Earlier this evening I stood at my kitchen window and watched a deer chow down on two of my rose bushes. Decimated one of them. Sure, all I had to do was make a noise and she would have wandered off but I think it was the one that just had a baby two days ago and didn't want her to leave in case the baby was nearby. I first saw the fawn when it was just maybe an hour old, barely dry yet. Wish I had a camera handy because it was hilarious. It didn't have control of it's legs yet and hopped along like baby goats do. So anyway, that's why I let my rosebush get eaten. I can nurse it back to health.
