If the election was held today, Dems would win the 2022 Midterm elections by a landslide. Barring a recession, I still feel the Dems will gain seats in the House and Senate. I know this goes against the prevailing wisdom and history. But the reason for my assessment is kind of simple. It's so simple that most don't get it: the 2022 midterm elections are a referendum on whether Donald Trump should run for office again in 2024.

Conservatives are doing liberals/progressives a favor by completely aligning with Trump. Independents by a very wide margin do not want another term of Trump as President. They were very embarrassed and hurt by what took place on Jan.6.

As for Biden, he is running a very liberal/progressive Presidency, much more so than I had projected. A reasonably priced Medicare for all option, funded by the Top 1% should be coming after the midterms in 2023.
