Bob:

From Mike Burke's "Tick Tock" piece:

"Add to these temporarily successful firms the huge numbers of companies that never really make it, the mass of "one-hit wonders," and the pricey commodity firms that are ubiquitous in the sector, and it is easy to see why the majority of tech stocks cannot be fast growers longer term. And should a company miraculously overcome the fate of most tech firms, it will forever face threatened government intervention for anti-trust violations. Such a deal for a long term holder."

So let me get this straight: You can't own tech stocks for more than a few months because there are so many "one-hit wonders" that flame out disastrously. But you can't own them for the long term either, because eventually the justice department will take all your profits!

Give me a break! Anybody who has held MSFT, INTC, CSCO, TXN, ORCL or ADPT for 3 years or more knows this is crap.

Best regards,

Charlie
