For anyone interested in the NAS topic in regard to streaming mp3 files from a hub (rather than an iPhone) to the home media, I've discovered a great app called iTunes Remote.

You install it on a phone or tablet. It looks into and connects to your PC. It can then see your iTunes library and playlists, and play them.

It seems to play them out the PCs default audio, which for me is PC speakers as I'm not yet fully set up.
But if I can figure out how to stream from the iTunes folder on my wifi attached PC out to a Sonus or other home speaker, then I've got the NAS storage I was looking for without buying a hub or setting up a new system.

iTunes Remote can access all the iTunes files on my PC, now I've just gotta figure out how to broadcast them where I want....
