And so clear to me as a youngster. Small planes, on skies, landing on the ice after the “”hunt”” from the air picking off wolves ,, crossing ice covered lakes,, some landings , trophy carcass strapped to the struts of the plane. Not a fair or sane “hunt” ,, same re the Buffalo,, same re the Caribou as described by Farley Mowat in “” People of The Deer”” at caribou pinch points on migration,, slaughter for just the tongue. Chief white face, love the thunder stick,, still does.
