You can't force free trade...especially against communist China who would oppose that force any way they could (which they did) rather than LOSE FACE....which means everything in Asia and more so with communists. How the president of the U.S. could be so ignorant of that fact is mind boggling......a public battle is not the way to negotiate. It took Henry Kissinger and months of DIPLOMACY to get some type of relationship with China. Trump put us back in the cold war with his bullying failed ways.....Not saying there isn't a trade and intellectual property issue with China but TRUMPS chest pounding did not work...they called his bluff and trump lost and hurt our farmers and many other industries hit with tariffs.
