I own some shares in this company. I beleive that the major shareholder that you refer to is Canadian Pacific Ltd., which is a Toronto Stock Exchange listed conglomerate known primarily for its railroad operations (although at one time it was into other businesses such as trucking, and communications). I thought that the company always had a Canadian head office. I think that it was called Dominon Brige, but changed its name to United Dominion Industries when it sold off its construction business to concentrate on its current product line. The only problem that I have wite Vision '99 plan is that they a focusing on purchasing compaines that are leaders in their particular markets. I think that they will have to pay hefty premiums to the share hodlers of those companies in order to convinve them to sell out. I know that earlier in the year, one of the companies that UDI tried to purchase sucsessully fought of UDI's unsolicited offer. I know that they have a large amount of cash as a result of a recent underwriting, and the company is making money, so they should be able to fund purchases easily. My problem was that I bought my shares too soon after the underwriting. After UDI management completed its dog-and-pony shows to institutional investors, the price dropped off (from $33 CDN to $26). I took advantage of the recent weakness to average down. Regards, John
