@MollyJongFast

Republicans seem pretty interested in keeping this virus going as long as possible

@ericasco

They want fatality numbers for COVID as high as possible for the Biden Administration. There’s really no other plausible explanation.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The right has staked a position that whatever measures the government suggests we take to limit the spread -- like stay-at-home orders, masks, and vaccines -- will become permanent mandates which encroach on their liberties. If they agree to use masks and get vaccines, then it might limit spread of the virus to the point that it disappears. And then where are they?

As long as there's still a virus infecting us, then they have something to bitch about. If we defeat it, then they don't.

So they tell their audience they don't need masks or vaccines (even though the Fox talking heads were broadcasting from home instead of in a studio, and got the vaccine as soon as they could), all to keep the virus raging among their audience. All in the hopes that if things get bad, the "lockdowns" will return and vaccines will become mandatory, proving their prophetic powers.
