The so-called divide we see today is something they've been cultivating for decades.
In churches, it was the gospels of hate; hate liberals, hate gays, hate abortion.
Then, it moved into politics and was equally successful. They did all this in plain sight and now we pretend we're appalled by it. I watched it my entire life. You watched it a good portion of yours.
The beginning point was John Paul in the papacy and Reagan Reagan in the White House. Both destroyed truth and made shit up. Yeah, tax cuts and massive new spending would result in balanced budgets? No one is that dumb right and yet he won 49 states, so yes, dumb works.
JP was equally bad. Divide a church based on political ideology and then wonder how the church could be divided.
