Re: Sun Micro's sale of hardware. Yes, you must be right -- confusion was all mine. Sun would of perhaps be supplying the software to access from UNIX but undoubtedly not from PCs, so that what's good for Sun would be good for the Hummingbirds out there.

I don't think sales of Exceed will flatten out yet... many UNIX sites aren't going to give up the better performance and reliability of their machines for NT, nor port all their applications to NT. I'd expect many firms to do what my customer is doing, and that's to keep the UNIX servers and buy NT workstations for the users. Each of those NT boxes will have an X Server running on it.

And as the customer base grows, the potential revenue for Exceed upgrades due to external factors (NT 4.0/5.0; Win98) also grows.
