That pointer was quite informative. NN has excellent Marketing contacts in Europe, Britain and Asia which they have nurtured since the CEO set up shop. The local forecast is optimistic. Todate, there is no indication of any major reengineering efforts. I would however like to know a: the reasons for declining sales of TDM eqpt and what is replacing that. b: Reasons for their low Net margins and capital turnover vis a vis their Competitors. In todays Financial post, an Analyst has an estimate of 97c for year ending April 98 and $1.44 for next yr. For those targets, the current P/E could be considered attractive. The present situation has undoubtedly raised many concerns. However the price decline has reduced the downside risk and therefore deserves some credit in evaluating whether to buy or not.
