RE <<45 months>> ... surely you meant '4 - 5 months', which sounds right as a way-point that starts now, waypoints at September mark, and waypoints at onset of winter flu season.

Right now S Africa, Australia and Brazil are in winter, and the picture is not clear, because all three are doing presumably best they can, with Australia doing something different in that it locked down faster than did 2020, and S Africa & Brazil doing I am not sure what of any different than did same time 2020

Ontario might or might not be doing groundhog day, time shall tell.

Of course, without mass testing back then and now, who can know what if anything is happening that is different except by monitoring death certificate filings

For example, Brazil's actual situation now can be either massively better or worse than same time 2020. Issue being how many folks are dying now vs back then.

Let's see about Australia and Ontario over the next few weeks.

The readings now is neither comforting nor alarming for all four places relative to same time last year. IOW we are not done, and nothing bad priced in.
