The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are close to having regular FDA approval, moving past the emergency use approval. It's pretty hard to find normal weight people under 50 (BMI 20-25). Before the pandemic, 2/3rds of adults were overweight (BMI of 25-30) or obese (BMI 30 or above). Under 50 adults gained something like an average of 28-lbs. during the pandemic, so that number is probably north of 70% now. Add in people with other underlying health conditions like asthma, Type 1 diabetes, cancer, and heart disease, vitamin D deficiency, zinc deficiency, and you're probably looking at maybe only 25% of the under 50 adult population who are at very low risk of hospitalization from Covid-19 should they contract it.
