I do not watch news or commentary on television. I don't listen to news or commentary on the radio. I do not listen to news or commentary on the internet. I do not have a news feed from a social media site.

I guess that makes me a unicorn these days.

Many of us that post together were all over the Covid-19 situation back in January 2020. We saw what was headed for us. Many of us prepared accordingly. At least one of us got it so severe that they were hospitalized and have permanent health impairment (Kimberley). She got it even though she took mega precautions.

As for trusting the mainstream news, I try to make sure that any news I consume has multiple sources that document facts being presented. I don't consume commentary or opinion, other than the two columnists I read regularly - George F. Will and Leonard Pitts. Jr. I will pause for a second while your head explodes.

I read Reuters, AP, BBC, and other sources like Techmeme daily. Reuters is going paywall, so I don't know what I will do there now. I like the BBC because it covers more of the world and the Euro region. I also like the South China Morning Post.
