US biz partner and friend visiting HK after having not visited since November 2019. Normally he visits once every two months for perhaps 4-weeks, hubbing out of HK to visit Philippines and Indonesia. He has been in quarantine at the TST Sheraton Hotel since 4th July, and shall exit quarantine 18th July, with intention to stick around for 5-days in HK and onward journey to Jakarta. He just found out Jakarta gradually but surely being cut off, from transit hubs Seoul, Singapore, Taipei, and should Tokyo (HK already cut passengers from Jakarta, but still can fly to Jakarta by Cathay for some strange logic) cut Jakarta off, friend shall leave HK back for USA without accomplishing anything except saying hi and sharing some meals.
