For the first time today I saw the claim that the man who killed Babbitt (Lt. Michael Byrd, allegedly) did so not because of a concern for the safety of Congress, but out of fear for his OWN safety. Perhaps it doesn't matter, but since there is clear video of the incident I'm not sure how exactly he felt threatened by an unarmed person when he was armed and had her at point black.

I don't know if anyone besides me is really bothered by the incarceration of harmless people for months on end; seems like there is little interest in it. Today, it is reported FBI hunted down a family of five and put them in jail for trespassing and disorderly conduct. Although it seems the disorderly conduct WAS the trespassing.

That the courts are going along with these extended incarcerations of individuals is astounding to me.

It seems to me most of the real wrongdoing here is on the parts of congress and the courts.
