The older you get and the more history you learn, the more you realize that major institutions easily lie and cover up massive stories.
There's a narrative that no one would try a massive conspiracy because covering it up would be impossible. No one can keep a secret, and if one person leaked the truth it would blow the lid on a whole conspiracy. Therefore conspiracies are impossible, and knowing that, no one would even try it. Therefore, all people who believe in conspiracies are fringe kooks.
But this is circular logic. People can in fact get away with massive conspiracies if they can label any evidence as a kooky conspiracy theory. One person leaking the truth does not blow the lid on a conspiracy. It's exactly the opposite. 100 people blowing the lid on a conspiracy does nothing if those people don't have a voice. If 100 witnesses tell a hundred people each, that's 10,000 repetitions of a story over years. If Walter Cronkite tells a story, it's seen 100,000,000 times in two days. It's not that witnesses can "leak the truth", the question is can they MARKET it? And they can't. There are professional media companies and investigatory agencies with billions of dollars and the ability to drown out or 'discredit' (aka smear) any number of witnesses.
And the incentive for these large institutions to lie and to cover up for each other is TOTAL. For example, you might think "why would a Walter Cronkite risk his reputation to lie to cover up for the CIA killing Kennedy?". That question is backwards. Why would the CIA let a man become a Walter Cronkite if he were not a reliable mouthpiece? They wouldn't.
To the 100 witnesses of any conspiracy, the media is this massive multibillion-dollar operation they can't compete with. But to the CIA, the central bankers and major private institutions, the media is tiny. To protect their trillions, they carve off a few billion to set up a marketing department which they call the independent media. They set up a bunch of seemingly separate brands in order to give the illusion of independence. They set up bullshit awards that they give each other, like Pulitzers and Oscars. And most importantly they set up recruiting and training centers, like a journalism schools and in Hollywood, acting schools and talent agencies.
They don't have to convince "the reputable Walter Cronkite". They've recruited and advanced Walter Cronkites from college, and guided those up the pyramid who are the best at giving the illusion of reputable independence while simultaneously being 100% reliable whores. People who are attracted to the profession for the truth, wallow at the bottom, get frustrated and quit, or if they try to break through, are discredited themselves as low-level kooks. It's like a mafia pyramid of "made men". Everyone at the top will play ball because only ball players make it up there. This is the way corrupt institutions work. And they don't question each other's deals because they don't want their deal to be questioned either. If you go along you'll get another Pulitzer for your brave independence, and if you actually try to be bravely independent you will be on the outs - decades of investment down the tubes, trouble for yourself and your family, and maybe a boat ride out on the lake.
There are no institutions of truth. There are only groups that the corrupt have set up to fake the truth. There is only "Truth Television Enterprises, Inc", "The Federal Bureau of Truth", "The Central Truth Agency", "The Annual Truth Awards Show", "The Truth Talent Agency" - all wholly owned subsidiaries of Liars R-Us.
Given this, certain things are clear. The media shilled for Stalin from the beginning. McCarthy was right that the entire government was filled with ideological communists, as was Hollywood, and they still are. Kennedy was almost certainly killed by the CIA. Watergate was a coup. Flight 800 was shot down by a navy missile. 9/11 seems like it was done by Muslims who were just as crazy and corrupt as everything I've described here and don't need any help from the CIA to be evil, but honestly who the f*** knows. Certainly the issue was exploited to expand the power of vast agencies. Obama was a Manchurian candidate, groomed from his Harvard days to be president. Russian collusion was a hoax. The virus was certainly man-made, possibly a bio weapon. The 2020 election was a joke.
Policy for the world is set at Davos, The Sun valley conference, the Bohemian Grove, The Bilderberg group, the Chinese politburo, The CIA, The Federal reserve, The World Bank. Institutions set policies for the legislature. The legislatures are an illusion of choice. We do not live in a republic. We live in an oligarchy which maintains the illusion of a republic, which it has overtaken.
This does not mean that the powers are all knowledgeable or all powerful. They are the same dullards that run every bureaucracy. All it means is that they have the power to continue their own power. They do dumb things but it never matters, as they have the ability to cover it up later. They have the ability to exploit most random events and even their own mistakes. There are other power centers, rogue individuals and groups, unexpected events, and diverse economic interests. But just like the Mafia tries to muscle in and get a piece of the action, The oligarchy is this big organization that does the same on a global scale. So high-tech didn't start off corrupt, and the oligarchy didn't create their innovations. But the oligarchy was there first and was huge and used its position to pick and choose winners, infiltrate them, and corrupt them. They got their piece of the action.
