I've got a Denso eyeballed for a replacement fuel pump if needed. They're OEM on a lot of models.

I'll try to get a vacuum gauge from loan a tool at an auto parts store. Most have this. Thanks!

Fuel filters these days are often just screens in the tank for cars. It's not like the old days for cars where you had one in the engine bay just before the carb.

Now that you mention it, the problem started after we had the entire exhaust replaced. There was a leak in the catalytic converter, so maybe now that that's fixed, the exhaust is running hotter or the new exhaust is closer to the fuel line than before.
