DeSantis became a national figure for the way he managed CoViD in Florida. He actually studied the situation, and developed decent working knowledge of the virus, its epidemiology and implications. He managed it in a smart and practical way, protecting the vulnerable - with as little negative impact as possible on the economy, jobs and people’s lives. Seems like it was a simple, common sense thing to do - but you can count leaders who did it on the fingers of one hand. Seems like a combo of smarts, practicality and concern for the people is a great rarity among politicians. For his trouble he’s bitterly hated by the Regressives. They know he’s got their idol - the deity of corrupt power seekers, Karl Marx - hopelessly on the defensive.
