| | | I had bladder cancer at the age of 22. I was hiking in the Grand Canyon and was camping out at Roaring Springs campground and had blood in my urine for two successive mornings. I called up home, told my parents and they told me to come home immediately. They discovered a microscopic cyst, which was cancerous, removed it through special instruments without cutting me up and I was told I had a 99.9% chance of recurrence. I was sisecope every 3 months for 3 years,then every 4 months for two years, then every 6 months for 5 years, then every year for 5 years and then every 2 years. After 36 years, I asked my Urologist why I was being sisecope and he said I don't know why either. So, I have stopped getting checked over the last 10 years. Risk is higher when you are young.
5 years is key. After 10 years you are most likely out of the woods. I wish you well.
Don't think about it. Just live your life. It is out of your control. Smoking tobacco is the worst thing in the world for bladder cancer.
Bladder cancer grows more slowly as you age. When you are young, it grows like wildfire. The key is whether they got the whole cancer out. Once it gets in the lymph nodes, there is trouble.

My portfolio was up on Friday due to my overweight in Ultities, consumer Staples, healthcare and a huge position in MSFT. CRMT was up over 7% which helped.
The stock market has doubled in 15 months. Usually that means a breather or pause is ahead of us. There is Fear due to the rise in Covid cases and the Delta variant. SPX 4164 has a decent chance of getting retested again. A good, strong portfolio with hedges is adequate for my needs.
Stock market will likely be higher by the end of the year. As long as Biden ( or the States) does not shut down the economy, stock market will be fine intermediate term. |
