Defining will to power through fear and an impulse to survive is no doubt part of it, but I think there is also a large “positive” aspect - an impulse to build, to expand, to…. make the world a better place, to be successful. Life's energy. Leftist will to power is more like you say - power without responsibility. They have nothing positive to offer - like prosperity and freedom. Rather the opposite. So, we must take it on faith - elect them, and all kinds of nice things will happen. They’ve always failed to deliver, and always will. The “equity” they promise is just old fashioned oppression.
